Someone got hurt and I felt it. That is always regrettable. I try my best to get through life without hurting anyone or anything. Isn't that the Buddhist way? But then there are exceptions, when you inflict hurt because it is in that person's best interests. Thought provoking lines Neville.

Two lives scarred with what was and what could've beens. Boy meets girl, boy impresses girl, boy mucks it up and realises too late a good thing just left the building.
Ps... Not being sexist, just know from experience it's always my... I mean the guys fault.
But.... what do they expect? They know we can't multitask, being nice and doing other stuff too!? No man can live at that speed! 😀

Yep, that one. I usually have to make do with the bashed and broken section at Aldi, but sometimes manage a bit of the exotic 😀

Another read of this and I don't know why but I feel the pull of parents here. I am thinking of home and your mum and dad. Maybe when you left home, it was a short year, but a long month. I smell home made bread and I can see your dad and I know he built boats by the sea. I can see the honed skills of a craftsman at work. Whose heart was broken, maybe it was a girl, but no, maybe your heart was broken. Maybe you left home after a fallout. Maybe the hurt was caused before you developed your beliefs about not inflicting hurt. I dunno. I am winging it, but I am certainly feeling something here and reading something I didn't pick up on first time.

A very Nice poem conveying a truth of relationships. It's really so true that sometimes we hurt someone just to protect them. But I also do believe that if there is genuine attachment between people then one day or the other they'll understand and everything will be again good. I really found these lines of great meaning -
He simply
Hurt you
To be kind
And I think I am gonna remember them for quite a long time. Great work 👍
