Upon Her Ears

Upon Her Ears

A Poem by Neville
"

twas thought not said as he slipped outa bed...

"

Upon Her Ears

At the very same time he brushed aside

That single strand of her night wilden hair

He whispered soft through grey flecked beard

Then

Blew these words upon her ears

Have no fear my love for now although

I let you go I shall return and love thee even more so

Ahh, would it be wrong of me to start by saying that a Sunday isn't a Sunday without Yorkshire pud, roast beef in gravy, carrots and baby trees. Well, that's what I call 'em anyway. :)
Beautifully writen Sir. It sounds similar to my love for my bed, although the pillows are mostly hair free.

Have you been looking in my diary?
You romantic devil you. Only you could bring erogenous zones and Yorkshire pud together. Onion gravy anyone?

Ah, but it must have had some satiating effect, methinks. He left before breakfast--will this fellow be back for supper? So few clues for my curious, romantic mind to wrestle with.

But it looks so artificial
Your words have much beauty and promise! Letting go paves the way for return with an even deeper love sometimes. When the love is irreplacable. Great poem sir!

In jest is this a promise that could be a comfort to the proverbial fool or are you making assurances sure? Proof in the pudding???

Despite being quite brief, your poem conjures up an amazing scenario of nostalgia in me. I'm reminded of those times when I would be sleeping beside a perfectly adored love-of-my-life, yet something else always beckoned to my wild spirit . . . I tried to imagine my wanderings would not take away from this homestead bed. The bittersweet curse of wanderlust (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The feel of the ancient writer "Donne". Love missed, love touched. Places where lover's dance and engrave memories of kindness shared. Wonderful use of words. Made me write my friend. Thank you Neville for sharing the amazing poetry.
