Deciduous! a fine word indeed ... sprouts love in me ol heart ... but oh thank God above for the evergreens ... our forests would truly be way too naked without them ... my own little neck of the woods, just yesterday evening, showed me how very naked they are right now ... the joy is i can see well into the forest ... and so sneaking up on is much more difficult ... except for the armadillo ... ruddy little buggers rooting around in thick fallen leaves ... blind as bats but they have good sniffers ... anyway .. who is Veronica? ;)

well...only the cute parts and protective armor perhaps .. did you know they are one of the few mamm.. read morewell...only the cute parts and protective armor perhaps .. did you know they are one of the few mammals that carry leprosy systemically .. one actually sashayed through our yard and let me walk right up on it .. i let it sniff my hand then scratched its scaly back ..it jumped several inches straight up and ran away .. so i looked them up and found out about the disease :{ but they are pretty cool ... i think you would feel comfortable in a desert Neville ;) g'day sir! :))

I have chilled many times in deserts.. funny thing. the first time I went to the Sahara, it bloomin .. read moreI have chilled many times in deserts.. funny thing. the first time I went to the Sahara, it bloomin rained... I never knew that about armadillo's.. I worked with several people with leprosy in both India and West Africa and we had a case of dry leprosy at the surgery where I used to work... apparently the first case in England for many years.... g'day to ya too mate x
