Ooh;the Greek Rainbow Goddess--her name was Iris,I read it in a book about baby's names.
I don't remember the part about anyone falling in love with her, though. You must have learned that lesson better than I did!
Beautiful poem, sir!

It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the mouldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.
My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the mouldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast,
And the days are dark and dreary.
Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

I could never harbor any bad feelings about someone he loved so much. She was, as he often said, the other half of him. There had to be a reason he felt that way. And, look at his face! He is so happy.

Hello. This is so beautifully written! As a rainbow she appeared and won them all over! Was it sheer physical beauty, intellect or wit? I wonder. What I positively know is that I’m turning an absolute shade of bright arsenic green here! Hell! I wish this was for me!
It's serene and loving and makes you that softy I secretly know you are! Beautiful Nev.

this is very cool
it's sort of like men falling for a beautiful woman, competing for attention but falling away one by one as she rejects them, or maybe it's more about the falling in love.
anyway, I approve of your flower choice. or maybe that is the real name of your muse
either way, lovely poem
