Beautiful. I could interpret this so many different ways. Parents meeting their newborn child. Finding a stray, adopting it, and discovering the joys of being a pet parent. I could even imagine a fantastical version of finding a fairy or a tiny child like Thumbelina inside of a flower or Iris. Great job!

A beautiful poem of the love of parents for their newborn. You have encapsulated so much emotion with so few words, Neville. That moment of seeing a healthy child for the very first time is one of life's greatest experiences, and you have summed it up vividly. Very nicely done, my friend.

there is always a woman whom is like that, but to me, I read Your words and what I want to think of is the birth of an Iris, this little lovingly gorgeous poem would be the myth story of her.

Of course Neville, Iris was the Greek Goddess of the rainbow. Not surprised that everyone fell in love with her, she was so beautiful. Saw a rainbow myself yesterday. A magnificent one appeared after torrential rain followed by sun. Very lovely it was too. ROYGBIV. Remember that my friend? Your poem is lovely.
