corner The penguin was blowing his
nose I’m frightened they both said
together What shall we do if it snows We can’t make a snowman or
igloo Go skating or play on thin ice Whatever we do said the
penguin It’s far too cold for it to be
nice So they both remained still
and Cried ice cubes with an icicle
each On their nose Growing colder and colder
together Until their fur and their
feathers Each froze Then in Spring an old Eskimo postman Found them huddled together At dawn You were daft to go out With no coats on he said Come home with me And I shall Make you both warm…….. © 2018 NevilleAuthor's Note
