Prolet is the Bulgarian word for Spring, I think it trips of the tongue quite nicely in a little happy dance all of its own..... Wot do you reckon......

Prolet is a new word for me. It's good to use words from another language in your writing. I have on occasions used a little French or Latin in mine, because some of their words seem more appropriate to encompass the intended meaning. Your beautiful lines explain to the reader exactly what that word means to you. It is not merely a season, but captures all the emotions, uplifting, timeless freedom, bursting with new life, an injection of zest. No wonder you are looking forward to your holiday so much. I have never visited Bulgaria. Maybe I should Neville.

Prolet in Bulgaria is simply amazing. as it is anywhere I s'pose but just a tad special... I do so hope you will see for yourself one day... I have been thinking for a couple of years about inviting a small group of poets to join me there.. either fly out with me or join me in Sofia and then journey over to my place... so if you and up to a handful of poets are interested, send me a private message and I will see what we can be arranged .. there is a photo of the villa nevajilla on my photos page... Prolet sounds like a pretty lady's name. Polet! It does a nice happy dance in deed. ( I wouldn't be surprised if someone already gave that name to a beautiful baby girl). Neville, your love of Homelands is brimming in your poetry!

I gave my daughter a middle name of Shorin which was taken from the Shaolin Temple..... Almost forgot to say thanks so much for dropping in again..... N

You have wonderful taste in picking names !Shorin sounds fabulous!
I love it too! I always find some words written or spoken in another language than English have a certain charm, I titled some of my poems with French titles though my French is extremely poor lol, some languages are musical ones, those I do love, they have real enchanting allure, thank You for introducing us for a magic word.
