Here, your playful ephemeral essence is popping to the max. Your basic premise is brilliant, the kind of idea all writers wish we'd thought of. You SHOW instead of TELL, since we cannot exactly pinpoint the kind of colors you're referring to . . . just throwing around some mystic fairy dust, I guess! *wink! wink!* I agree that there are many such delights that cannot be captured (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There are sentiments that have colours, and those colours have no names .... you feel them and they fill the hearts with marvelous sensations! Your poem sounds like a song. Absolutely lovely!

how very kind... thank you so much dear friend.... N
Now color for sure is a wondrous and peculiar thing. I see a color , green let us say, and lo and behold my good wife tells me it is indeed blue. Who knew? My good wife that's who. Blue is wondrous strange, some cultures, my good wife says, have no word for blue. Un-named there is no blue at all, sky is sky color and that's the whole of it. My good wife says. So that's all I know or need know about color, that and that the "u" is profoundly un-American.

i believe it Neville ... and as Buzz Lightyear says "To infinity and beyond! ...there is a sense of gentle beauty in your poem ... a timelessness where one might just glimpse those colors of the mind ... i like this one a lot sir! thanks for sharing your creative art

I believe You and I know it's true, as Your said in Your other poem, (I want to be the colour without a name), and I admire the creativity of Your mind here, along the sensitive sense You have to feel these ethereal colours, to grasp this rare heavenly beauty.
