A feel of the ancient poets in these words. Regret and things lost. Stay hidden till one day we must seek forgiveness or face them with honest end. I enjoyed the poem. Made me feel a sadness for things done and we cannot release. Thank you Neville for sharing the amazing poetry.

thank you for digging this oldie out .. I added the photo of Alison earlier today .. an old flame sadly now passed and all too soon .. as I heard a couple talking on the next table about a hospital in Cornwall where she used to work .. For some reason I asked if they had ever heard of her and would you believe, they were good friends .. small world eh ...

Sadly I’m and only 42 and I have lost a lot of childhood friends to drug overdoses. Haven’t seen many of them for years but once upon a time we all were close friends
Just hope I get taken before my good lady wife as I'd get on everybody's tits until I had the decency to pop my own clogs too.
Hi Neville, hope all is well out West

i like the abstract in these words...someone else calling...another lover, perhaps?
or she is getting ready to pass and is saying her goodbye...so that what was so beautiful has to tragically end so soon.

This poem is very heartfelt & melancholy, yet with an underlying note of acceptance. There are many in our lives who must follow a different path. You've filled me with the conflicting sensations of wanting that other person to go fly, & yet also nursing my own misery when he/she is gone. Nicely complex ideas poured into simple relatable words (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks Margie, you just made my evening, cheers.....N
The sadness of this well written poem takes over the reader´s emotions. To see someone you love go is devastating for the one that has to stay. The sorrow and broken heart, is inevitable.
Well done!
Stay well Neville :-)

How desperately sad when life appears to lose meaning.. no sun to warm your spirit, no hands to hold your loneliness. Why oh why do such miserable thoughts create such beautiful language.. sigh.
