My Lady Pleases Me This Way

My Lady Pleases Me This Way

A Poem by Neville

My Lady Pleases Me This Way

Sitting alone

In her lacquered chair

Panties and blouse

Typing out old poems

Her blonde hair

Catching the sun

Biting her lip

Occasionally sucking on

A French cigarette

And sighing

I don’t know why

My lady pleases me this way

What I love the most about your word portrait is that your appreciation covers things both beautiful & not so much. To me, the most loveable characters are the ones with shining points mingled with flaws, which you've conveyed in a loving way. Your lady is most appreciated & I'm guessing she's appreciating in return! *smile* Fondly, Margie

She pleases you because she is so natural in your presence. Half dressed typing up her poems, sunlight on her hair. It paints a wonderful picture of her being totally relaxed and doing what she wants to do with you looking on, immersed in the scene. You love her for her whole being and that comes through beautifully. Lovely poem Neville.

Your love light shines upon her Neville. Your lovely lady of letters...your eloquent imagery defines her and your words adore her. You immortalize her- just being herself. That is just as it should always be between true lovers. Bravo, Neville!

Then sensual vulnerability of the typist of old poems is wonderful. The details of the chair and cigarette create an image of taste and money. The emotion while typing reminds me of my own reaction to the past emotions of my old poems, and I feel like the lady would understand me, just a little. I like this.
