Sans Sustenance

Sans Sustenance

A Poem by Neville
"

Some folk gorge on ideas whilst others yet starve themselves on the edge of grand bazaars and market places......

"

Sans Sustenance

Despite the hunger

He ignores the gnawing ache

To feast on imagery

Many thank you's indeed Alexis Turner, much appreciated...... Neville
I call this going down the rabbit hole. When I get lost in my process and loss myself to a drawing or a craft and hours past by before I realize I haven't eaten all day. I like how you have put it here.

How very kind of you, thanks blown in your direction.... Neville
Is this a haiku poem? I kept reading over and over to ensure I don't misunderstand the essence of what this poem is all about. Often when a writer gets into a flow, even hunger can't stop him right?

I believe it was the Romans that thought that if honey didn't cure an ill, cabbage would! For sure, there's an elixir for the sadness in Man, he just has to accept it, cherish it - share it. LOVE. But, but, but, must be its reality, not its make-believe. We should all take a bite!

Reminded me of Matthew 4:4 - and that; 'man cannot live on bread alone ---' we need help from outside influences, if we are to fulfil our destiny … very though provoking short write - liked it immensely! :-)

If food and drink don't quell that hunger, than what better than to feast on imagery. Some, so satisfying that it can feed the soul even though it may not fill your belly. Good morning Neville.

This happens to me sometimes when I'm angry. I just close myself to the beauty around me. Beautifully written.
