Her Words Were Like Ivy

Her Words Were Like Ivy

A Poem by Neville

Her Words Were Like Ivy

Her words were like ivy

Cold clinging and uncaring

Many fell both to and from her

Corroded and self pitying life forms

Impossible to either loathe or love her

We are merely bookends on a shelf

Very much appreciated Brittany. Thank you for stopping by... All Good Things, Neville
I love that ending. Relationships like that are difficult indeed. Nicely put :)

Hey, many thanks indeed.. Much appreciated, All Good Things, Neville
A distant relationship. It really doesn't matter if it was a relative, a spouse, a girlfriend, a co-worker, it works because everyone has had such experiences. Alone but together in a room where the uncomfortable fills the space between you.
