Just Take a Look

Just Take a Look

A Poem by Neville

Just Take a Look

Just look how well she

Pirouettes and glides

Between all those minarets and spires

Caring nothing whatsoever for religion

Hey

Just look again how well she thrives

Amongst all those preachers clowns and liars

Caring nothing whatsoever for tradition

Hey

Just look again how well she strives

To captivate and then discard

Without giving anything away at all

Just like

‘The Mona Lisa’

Hey just look how well she smiles

Please feel free to add here whatever you choose or comes to mind

Hmmm. minaret's (perhaps no apostrophe?) other than that, this seems angry somehow, in spots, at a woman who seems fake, but then someone for whom the author somehow feels pity/empathy for at the same time. Very interesting indeed.

Darn it girl, you are correct as far as that apostrophe was concerned... Consider it gone and thanks.. read more
