Ma Hal Khe Te

Ma Hal Khe Te

A Poem by Neville
"

At the time, I had every intention -- but then we all say things don't we in the heat of the moment....

"

Ma Hal Khe Te

After so much closeness

All that loving

The distance now between us

Seems such a waste of time

My dear

Ma hal khe te

Je reviens one day

May I ask what "Ma hal khe te" means?

Despite my ignorance in this area, I do actually like this poem quite a bit. p.s. I do understand the French at the end. Also, having experienced my fair share of disappoint in life and love, this poem speaks strongly to me. I am sorry you never returned to whatever or whoever you left or left you, but alas, the poem alone is worth the loss.

Thank you. I, myself, have a passing knowledge of some random Malawese words picked up ages ago.

Good to hear from someone who is not entirely infatuated with themselves. I will be in touch. N

Sometimes, we intend to do something and end up hurting someone without meaning to. Time passes, and an apology becomes inappropriate somehow ... This is a thoughtful, truthful, wonderful introspective write. I have so missed your unique brand of writing.
