Old Fashioned Love SongA Poem by NevilleExactly what it say's on the labelOld Fashioned Love Song I heard an old fashioned love song On the radio today The one that always made you cry And so I thought of you And all the things we used to do
Like walking in the winter rain When I was cold But the sun shone from your eyes And made me warm again
I remembered walks through fields of corn Of bathing in the sea at dawn Of hide and seek between the sheets And how your hair played with the breeze
I watched you when you were sleeping Like a kitten by the fireside You looked so warm and tempting As you lay there softly breathing
And I wonder if you realised Just how proud you made me When I felt you still beside me In the soft light of the morning Like an echo of a lovers dream From a far off distant mountain © 2014 NevilleAuthor's Note
