some women are just like that, beautiful like a gem but with many faces, You can't catch them and that's how they keep You into them, lure You and captive You, that's how they survive their ego. if it was only for their lover then it's OK :) but they are playful with all "poor" men.

I love this! It's been in my reading list for a month & it's fun that I've gotten to it just now and your whole "Turquoise/Blue" nest of precious eggs has recently been hatched! Now I want to read your book more than ever. I'm waiting for a new David Crosby (the musician) documentary (DVD) to be released on Tues, so I can buy your book when I buy that . . . This poem reminds me of those days when we loved the one we were with (theme song of early 1970's by Stephen Stills, comrade of David Crosby) . . . loving in body only . . . how did we do that? (((RAD!))) fondly, Margie

A strange request from those turquoise eyes for needing only the physical makes love a meaningless word to both males and females........ strangers are not normally those with whom we share intimacy - now look what this read has got me into mon ami................. good un though.......... Fay

Having been left three times, I guess I could say, "sucks, doesn't it'? But it's not how I really feel. Knowing what it's like to love and be betrayed, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
I read this with old pain and felt sorrow for her partners, still. It's hard to find the true ones. I can only imagine the bliss of those that do. Very well written, Neville.

So often colour creates an aura around a special person.. and, no matter what or for however long, he or she becomes more than a rainbow ever could. Turquoise tears, perhaps, heralding Summer skies?
You write such memorable words..

No arguments, Mr. P. weather's too bootiful for that.
A pleasure, always
Now Neville, you have also provided a tear jerker today. This is poignant and rather lovely and sounds like a bit of a delicious dalliance that didn't work out in your favour. She didn't want you to love her mind, so I think there were commitment issues and the strangers in the morning line just confirmed that. You say she left a lot of people to grieve, and that is so sad, but you will still have memories of her. I did pick up on pain, I felt it in your words. Turquoise, did that reflect her eye colour or the blue mood, I wonder? I like the poem title. I enjoyed the read. I ask myself whether I have been loved for my mind, and I am laughing. My poetry has put paid to that I think! Never met anyone in the real world who understands it.

I wrote a poem (actually it is lyrical so its more like a song). That is also about a broken relationship. I was not nearly as complimentary. Called it Drunken Deceiver. I might dig it out one day.
Mmm some relations as the time passes changes and then maybe someday we might wonder if the other person remember how it used to be..
Isn't it... normally one of them remembers every detail...the other forgets ...so it's better to have left those memories hidden in the trunk box..
Felt like a small tribute to a special someone...
I take this as an NSA relationship turned serious and then gone when she thought it was too serious - Not always is it the man that is afraid of commitment ...
