If your gonna run these words through your head try doing it to the tune of L. Cohen's 'Sisters of Mercy' If your gonna try singing them, use the same method but do it out loud. Not next to a stranger on a bus though....

"Your lovers are losers like you" - scathing final line Neville. Sharps are out. Yes these lyrics to Cohen's "Sisters of Mercy", work very well. Can imagine him singing it with his slow drawl voice. Who's a clever boy then? And even some rhyme thrown in for added measure.

I laughed at the end of this. Yes, this person is a bit of a s**t..

Nice one Sir and much apologifications for missing it first time. Not sure if its intentional or kowinkidink, but this reminds me of camille, or la traviata if you're posh. Think that Alex Dumbass wrote it, but may be wrong.
If i remember correctly by my enforced reading of a hundred booksto read before you die... (and yes, it nearly killed) her seven lovers visited her on white flower days, but not on red, as that meant she was on the... Thing I know nothing about and neither should I.
Don't remember much, other than her name wasn't camille and she was well up for it... I think they played scrabble all night or somefink.
Phew, got through that without saying it soundslike every woman I have ever known... Uhm, gotta go, before I get hashtagged. 😀

D****t! I'm starting to get a complex when I read your writing lately! It seems every poem I've read in a row is about ME! As soon as I read this title, I was already communing with your message in a big way. I've always wanted to write something like this: "I've been a s**t, but I loved every one of them, warts & all!" But now I don't need to figure it out, becuz you approached this in an even better way! *nuggified smile* Fondly, Margie

Acerbic and non-apologetic. You know even brutal honesty in a time of hypocrisy is revolutionary. Love the rhyme scheme too Nevill!
