Hey JudeA Poem by NevillePMH Fond RecollectionsHey Jude
Hey Jude Remember 1976 Talk about hot You came to my room at 20.35 Smelling vaguely of hospital disinfectant
And
I distinctly recall your blue uniform Was cut no more than three fingers above
the knee All for the sake of modesty and Matrons law
Talk about tight though When you eventually left You took a trace of my DNA wrapped in your
hair Which you saved in an old opaque bottle
Then
Before blowing a kiss and waving goodbye From the doorway You placed your thumb print firmly against The dark rose coloured lens I so often
peered through Hey Jude From behind in 1976
You had the most perfect form and without
any exaggeration Proved far too accommodating by half
Sadly
You
will always have to be Just a little bit more than a pleasantry
and remain A mere finger tip out of reach
Is it any wonder then I recollect so well Both you and the sun simultaneously going
down on me To the strains of Norwegian Wood Hey Jude Do you too remember 1976 ?
