It is amazing to me how you can say so much with so little words, but that is how good you are! The emotion within and the hope in the end, at first the word sad made me think of why? But the laughter lines are there to show that is so very possible to be happy...and we are never really alone ;-)

your poor poem Nev!!! so very small and standing so alone on the page ;) ... "The laughter lines Have all but gone" ... man! that is sad ... unless someone has gone in for some skin stretching :)) .. powerful sadness emoted and i love the closing .. as a Father may speak to a child .. reborn .. and i can not help but notice that "Sad" is in the form of an egg .... you are brilliant whether subconsciously or not says i! yes .. the old one's lines are erased ... and he (i see him as a he) is reborn .. and in a much better place. a real gem there my friend!

An old poem out for an airing Neville. First of all I thought of a conversation with a child, but laughter lines don't start forming until adulthood. No, this is for a grown up who might be little in stature. Promises can be a great comfort when healing rifts. There was comfort here. That's where this little poem took me. Endearing it was too.

This was such a sweet little poem, Neville :) The feeling of loneliness can send someone into a deep spiral of depression, you just need to let them know that you're there for them and that you love them, this was an endearing little poem, and was short but sweet. :) Thank you for sharing.

Being alone can make people feel sad but once you get comfortable with yourself being alone isn’t as miserable as you think but on the flip side we all need someone at some point whether it be friend or family.
