The implication is powerful. This person is a work of art, never complete always most with the warm oils that come with the brush strokes.

This is a VERY high compliment penned in most concise and eloquent fashion.

sometimes the most incomprehensible thing about the object of our affection is when they look back...
it's wonderful. i can't tell if this is that, or just wet paint - but it hardly seems to matter

Exactly, my friend. Just as writers can create realities that compensate, artists do, too. Although I've turned most of my creative efforts toward writing in recent years, I used to sit before canvases, trying to create the perfect woman.
