A Poem by Neville

Students

We are both students of

Different forms of beauty

My lady labours in front of

Tall mirrors daily

To perfect her art

And whilst she is the most

Severe critic of each

Fresh line or blemish

She might find there

I practice daily

In a temple without mirrors

To remind me of all the

Women I have ever failed

To seduce with poetry

Everyone seems to be their own harsh critic. I relate to those three lines the most. Thank you for sharing although I was only 11 when this poem was posted I very much loved this piece. Thank you Neville for sharing this.

different forms of beauty indeed, it also tells the different ways in which people deal with their inner challenges to perfect what they perceive is beautiful about them.... you should give yourself more credit though.
