Like royalty of a forgotten family
My pedigree is lost to you
My proud demeanor a simplifed mantle
Little compromise in view.
My kingdom resides in times lost
My wealth coveted in between
My courage spent in the cost
Of never yet being seen.
I can not be subjucated
Though a bounty I've foreited
Invisible territory lines placate
The restless governors of war.
Whispering in my ear
As the messages map out the boundaries
The general reminds me here
For what gain is my inquiry?
I am not a god of war
Though you've envisioned me to be
It suits the battlefield role
It easily defines your me.
Only because my kingdom is so vast
And so sparcely ingratiated.
Does it even become a question to ask
Would I risk the realm to be saited.
My currency of words lay heaped at your feet
Lost treasure left by a conquesting army
Neither side would suffer a defeat
The din of broken agreements spill in alchemy.
Silence is the crystalization
The benefactor of unspoken promise
The ultimate gift in consumation
To which I bequeath all that was mine I surmised.
