Just breathe

You are hurting
What can I say
I can't undo the anguish
Simply dismiss the fray

I could try to make you laugh
But in times like these
It's better to sit quietly
Persuading you to breathe

The trials test our mettle
Our lessons don't come with ease
Close your eyes and listen
Give in and just breathe

There are times that visit
We are not appeased
Dont fight and resist it
Hang on and just breathe

Meaning might take flight
Purpose fickle to see
But dancing in fire light
You can remember to breathe

Tip your head and smile
When it pains the most
Living in this moment all the while
Supplicating for the host...

I loved this poem, it's very true and I strongly feel this way sometimes. Life comes with pain, I feel if you didn't ever fall down you would never appreciate standing up. Great job, great words keep writing your poetry. I really like this part, The trials test our mettle

I really enjoyed this poem! You had perfect structure, nice flow and awesome rhyme. I have to agree with Shareeg, life does come with pain, believe me I can relate! But I feel that one can grow from painful events in their lives, that is why I write it to get it all out. Plz keep writing! keep up the good works (-:
