Festivitas

A Poem by Neversee
"

its raining candy, just not my brand

"

Adorned in a sheet
she said to me
love looks not with the eyes
then lingers around your neck
my broken piñata

just ask me, I can tell you
of rainy day conversations
garnished in gingerbread promises
its raining candy, just not my brand

its seeped into my raincoat
its saturated my mind
oh but my heart is drained
see the day is overcast, no magic

enchantment is for the eager
requisite appetite for fascination
from heroin to methadone
sunlight is a b***h to stand

When the damp of the summer torrent
tantalizes my senses again
there’s a rush of your laughter and whispers
a short feast of the bonfires and tempests
