The Business of LoveA Poem by DanThe Business of Love
They're using love to sell us cars, entice us into soul-less bars, it's everywhere the eyes can see, the streets, the papers, on TV. Billboards plied with 2D smiles, love now comes in many styles, I've sampled some and liked a few, but they can't sell me "I love you".
On greeting cards at 3 quid each, on posters; couples on the beach, Adverts tell me what I need; a multimedia stampede runs through me every waking day, pay as you go to go and play, I've paid the price but this holds true, Those priceless words are "I love you". © 2010 DanReviews
