But you can't

But you can't

A Poem by Dan

But you can't

I witnessed your renaissance,

Radiating confidence,

I saw you change,

Watched your ego alter,

Jekyll hid from Hyde,

Came through stronger,

Trying to be better, but

you can't perfect perfection.

Wading through rejection,

I see through your charity,

Clarity is mine at last,

My needs left wanting,

Watched you blossom,

Poison ivy climbing,

Don't really want to want you but

you can't affect affection.

You play so well with words in this write. This is also a write that seems to show a lot of intellect. All I can say on this one is "wow!"

I love this hon!
Its a sad fact that even though the mind says no, the heart says still finds an attraction with people we shouldn't if we have been hurt:)
"Poison ivy climbing,

Don't really want to want you but

you can't affect affection.".........Wonderful imagery!
