PerhapsA Poem by Danwistful musingsPerhaps
Perhaps I'll understand one day, And grab the answer with both hands, When in my grasp the future lies, When love looks on with smiling eyes.
Perhaps I'll seek the truth today, And question everything I do, Probe constantly yet pass unseen, Find mystery within routine.
Perhaps I'll wake up from this sleep, And find out it was one long dream, When morning comes I'll look at you, And find at last the missing clue.
Perhaps the dawn will bring to me, A purpose new, a golden goal, A reason to live, for which I'd die. Perhaps I'll never find out why.
Perhaps I'll never love again, Maybe I'll never kiss your lips, I know the song yet cannot sing, Perhaps these words don't mean a thing.
Perhaps I dwell on life too much, Should take time out to feel the breeze, Be pleased that I have loved before, Ahead of me, an open door. © 2010 Dan |
