Just a day away

Just a day away

A Poem by Dan
"

because sometimes, we can't always see the light at the end of the tunnel

"

Just a day away

Standing at the crossroads,

Deciding your direction,

Bridges burned behind you,

Ahead your resurrection.

But someone stole the signposts,

And no-one drew a map,

For getting to the good times,

When all you left was crap.

Friends are there to guide you,

Do heed the things they say,

But you're the one behind the wheel,

You just don't know the way.

Right now it's all a little raw,

Your satnav's lost it's sat!

And just for once your i-phone,

Doesn't have an app for that.

Time's the greatest healer,

Or so the saying goes,

The pain subsides, that much is true,

And that's from one who knows.

So when the clouds begin to clear,

Just look toward the sun,

Your journey isn't at an end,

It's only just begun.

Take pride and joy in all you are,

And know you're loved by all.

Take steps towards the future,

We'll catch you if you fall.

Memories can fuel you,

Yet they are yesterday,

Tomorrow will bring happiness,

It's just a day away.

sign post. This is very well written. Excellent rhyme
scheme and flow.
