Certainly denied

Certainly denied

A Poem by NeverSurrender
"

Being a failure

"
I try and try and try
They say "It's always tough"
But I remain the one
That's never good enough

I will crawl away
Cold, hurt and disconnected
Into the back of my mind
Where I won't be rejected

Broken as I am
Bloody and bruised
By the stones of denial
Thrown by the amused

A dark, lonesome ally
In the back of my mind
I stand afraid
Completely left behind

Yet I shall stay alone
Even when times are rough
Because I remain the one
That's never good enough

Extremely relatable. An excellent piece.

Very sad and heartfelt piece, and yet entirely relatable. I know what it's like to feel as though no matter how hard you try, you will probably never be good enough. Simplistic poem, yet very meaningful, you convey such a sorrowful feeling in its entirety in just five stanzas. Which just goes to show how being treated as if you're not good enough can make you feel so small, and yet full of these emotions.

this was a very nice piece, the thing that took me was the way you wrote and how easy it was to read. The message itself was sad but I get the feeling that you are a lot stronger than those words. But this was a really nice piece.

Can't let the negative folks hold you down. We will learn pain and have many bruises. Best to walk away from naysayers and enjoy your life. Happiness come within. A powerful poem that open the door to thoughts and question. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
