Men with black lies

Men with black lies

A Poem by NeverSurrender

On a road far away
A bird is singing pure
But I will never be so free
No release, of that I'm sure

Trapped inside a cage of sorrow
I pray to be forgotten
By the men with black lies
Who deserve what I have gotten

This poem stunned me. Short n' yet hypnotic, it springs the last lines on you like a trap. Sad n' unbelievably unforgettable, NeverSurrender! ㋡

Sad, depressing, wishing to be forgotten by those who deserve what's happening to you. Short, but enough to keep you thinking. amazing piece.

An interesting poem that conveys a lot in its brevity. The contrast you picture--between a free bird somewhere and being trapped inside a cage of sorrow--is vivid, and the last three lines gives an intriguing conclusion to the poem that leaves the reader pondering further. Nice write!

Amazing. Short and powerful. I'm not sure but i think the message behind it is "No one one should suffer for others mistakes" If that's not it then correct me. Great poem.

Lies can make us cold and desiring a escape. I like the feel and the emotion of the poem. Your words told a sad story. Complete poem is very good. Every line had purpose to strengthen the desire of being pissed off.

Nice point in compact verse. You did a great job of painting a forlorn and somewhat jilted picture, one that does not pass easily. The last line is particularly telling. Nice job her, I like.
