If Only You Knew

If Only You Knew

A Poem by Kelly
"

High school... Gotta love it.

"
I trip in the hall and you run to catch me from behind
I stutter while presenting in class but your eyes are oh so kind.
My heart skips a beat when your arm finds it's way around my waist
while you whisper in my ear a smile appears upon my face.
My parents say it's only school, there's no need to get so dressed up
when in my head I am only dreaming of calling you my love.
There is so much to say and so little time,
if only you realized that I wished you were mine.
When the bell rings, we walk in unison out the door
when I know in reality this simple walk means nothing more.

Author's Note

Kelly
I know my poems seem repetitive about love found and love lost and about being alone but it is what I know best and what I can relate to most often.

I like this, it has a sweet hint of innocence, wich is very rare in poetry now adays, not that I have anything againest sad poetry, but this is a nice change of pace. Great job. :DD
