Peaceful Garden

Peaceful Garden

A Poem by CoveredInLies
"

My boyfriends sister asked me to help her make a poem for her college english class final, that was about something at their college. She chose the subject of the beauty of the campus.

"
The iron archway marks the path to my sanctuary
The passage to a peaceful place
The flowers colors dusted on by a fairy
The shades and hues chosen with such grace

The suns embrace inviting and warm
Encourages the trees to flourish
Making it grow into its best form
The shade it creates is what we cherish

Under the shade we hear the songs
Of the beautiful birds chirping
As the fellow students walk along
Young minds always working

The wind blowing the pages of our books
Keeping our young minds sharp
Knowledge seeping in the crannies and nooks
Music of the wind could be compared to that of a harp

These are the beauties of our community
With all the nature we see
It creates peace along with unity
And that is important to me
