For my BrotherA Story by Nevah AnnRevelin is trying to prove he is strong enough to join the Gantos.
Author’s Note: These stories are character background histories. They are minor characters in the series of novels that I am working on to get published. The Stories start at the start of the person’s life. (Usually the most important part, not always their birth) And goes until the start of the story they are in. This is because I love knowing everything about each character that I create. (Trust me people with three or four lines have HUGE background stories.) To me, even people with one line are still people and might one day, have an adventure of their own. In order to understand parts of these stories, without giving away the novels, I must first explain to you who Kadin is. In these background histories Kadin is mentioned often. Kadin’s background, though mostly explained in his father’s story, is in the process of being written out. Any additional information on Kadin pertaining to a certain background story will be found at the end of the story. The young boy climbed onto the edge of the building looking down. “Revelin! Are you insane? That’s a seven story drop. You’ll break your neck!!” “I will not Henry, stop worrying.” The boy says, looking back at the other kid. “Don’t do this; you don’t have to prove anything!” The kid pleads stepping forward, “Just climb down and we’ll go home ok? Forget this whole thing, and make it work somehow.” “No way,” the young boy turns back, setting his feet at the edge, “I’m doing it.” “Revelin!” The kid jump forward grabbing for the young boy’s shirt, just as the boy jumps, head first off the building. The kid runs to the edge looking down, “REVELIN!” Eight Years Earlier – Aug. 1988 “My son is so bright, only two and is already learning the harder fire spells.” The woman laughs, mixing her drink in her glass. The group around her smiles. “He sounds bright, when will we meet him?” One of the ladies asks, taking a sip of her drink. “Oh, not tonight, I don’t want him up past his bed time.” The woman smiles at the crowd, “Some other time perhaps.” The party was in full swing by this time. The Scott’s always threw the best parties, and this one was no different. Though they were both witches, and had two boys, Revelin, who was two, and Henry, who was six, they both found time to have jobs and have a social life. They threw a party at least once a month if not more, most of the time it was for family, but from time to time it was for friends from work. This one was for family. Heidi didn’t think it was best for her sister to brag about her kids. Though they were bright, Heidi’s boy was gifted at three, but he had lost most of his powers by the time he was six and now… he had little. She didn’t want to see her sister get disappointed. “Mom” The voice was soft, as if unsure if it should be speaking. The girls turn to look. Revelin stands there, his pale green eyes tired and his blond hair ruffled. Mrs. Scott smiles at her son, “yes dear?” “Mom, I can’t sleep.” “Oh, sweety” She walks over to her son and picks him up, “It’s ok dear, would you like to stay up with us? You can show everyone what you’ve been learning.” The boy smiles at his mother, nodding, “Ok mommy” The mother puts her son down smiling at him. “Go ahead dear, show everyone what you can do.” The boy put his hand, palm up, into the air. A fireball appears in it. He tosses it in the air and catches it smiling at his mother. The girls clap and cheer. The young boy smiles making a second fireball and tossing it into the air as well. His mother smiles at him very happy with the display. “Boring,” comes a voice from behind them. The boy looks behind at his cousin, James. “I was doing that when I was one” The other boy yawns. Revelin pouts, his cousin was such a show off. He had to be the best at everything. Revelin turns back to the adults and puts both hands out. Six fire balls appear, three in each hand. He tosses two in the air and then starts to juggle the six of them. The adults start to clap, “Oh that’s wonderful!” “He’s so talented” Revelin smiles. James growls before turning and walking away. Revelin looks behind at him. “Careful!” One of the adults scream. Revelin looks back as the fireballs hit the ground starting the carpet on fire. The adults scream and start running. Revelin’s eyes go big. This wasn’t suppose to happen. “REVELIN!” his mother calls grabbing his arm and pulling him to her. She runs towards the door calling out to her husband, “GET HENRY!” Revelin’s father runs upstairs and into his son’s room. "Hurry son” he calls grabbing the six year old and carrying him down the smoky stairs. He runs outside and stops by his wife, “What happened?” He asks, looking at her and his youngest son. “Revelin dropped a fireball,” He looks at his son, who quickly drops his head. “Thank you for letting us stay here sister, it means a lot to us.” Mrs. Scott says smiling. “Oh, it’s fine,” Heidi smiles back, “We’re glad to have you.” She looks at her son, “Revelin and Henry will have to share your room James, because we only have the one guest room.” All three boys put out their tongues. “It won’t be for long,” Mrs. Scott says, “Only a week or so. Till we find a place of our own” The screaming started as soon as his feet left the edge of the building. He thought his brother had started it, but it may have been the people below. Revelin wasn’t sure, and didn’t care. His mind was focus, set on one goal, one thought. Survive. Because if he didn’t he would die. And though he didn’t fear death and often welcomed it. Death was failure, and he wasn’t going to fail. "MOM! TELL JAMES TO STOP HITTING ME!" "MRS. SCOTT! TELL HENRY TO STOP BUGGING ME!" "MOM! TELL JAMES AND HENRY TO STOP YELLING!" Revelin called, tosses a pillow at his brother and cousin. Mrs. Scott sighs walking into the room, "Boys, can't you three go a day without fighting?" "NO!" They said together before putting their tongues out at each other. Mrs. Scott sighs again. "When are we leaving mom?" Revelin asked, looking over at his mother with a sad look, "I don't want to live here no more." "Soon dear," Mrs. Scott says ruffling her youngest son’s hair "You've been saying that for five years now." Henry says crossing his arms, "It's long past not long" "Finding a house is hard work honey." Mrs. Scott says, "You three are spending some time together, which is good for you. Now, you need to behave while we're gone." Mrs. Scott smiles, "And we'll finish talking about it later. Understand?" "Yes" The boys say together, disappointed. "Good." She kisses the boys then walks out of the room. Then out of the house followed by her husband, her sister and her sister's husband. "I'll be so happy once you guys move." James says growling at the two boys. "I'm so sick of sharing my room with you two losers" He picks up the game he was playing and walks out of the room. "Henry, why won't mom and dad find a house?" Revelin asks his older brother moving closer to him. Since they moved in Revelin stayed as close to Henry as possible. He was afraid of James and expected Henry to protect him. "I don't know Rev." His brother says, "Don't worry though. We'll get away from James soon." The drop wasn't as long as the boy thought it would be, but he had plenty of time to watch his life flash before his eyes. He wondered if that was a sign that he wasn't going to live through this, but pushed the thought aside. Along with all the memories that came to him, his mind was set on making it. Set on success, and not failure. As the ground became closer and closer, he looked up to make sure the man was still watching. He was. Revelin smiled and looked back just as he hit the ground. He hears a snap as the bones in his arms shattered. He bites down on his tongue to keep from screaming, drawing blood quickly. Spots danced in front of him as his head hit the ground. He laid there, forcing his body to stay away. He wouldn't be surprise if he had a concussion, and passing out what not help him now. Sirens whiled and people came running. The boy wondered if his brother had made it down yet. His body temperature rose, his body felt like it was on fire. He closed his eyes listening to the sounds around him. He had lived. Which meant he proved his point. "He's not dead" The voice was that of the man's, it was close, like he was standing over the boy. But he didn't open his eyes. The need for sleep was over powering him. "No, he's not" His cousin, James said, surprise in his voice. "He's alive." "Hm. Very well. If he doesn't die tonight. Bring him to my base as soon as he is released from the hospital" "Are you sure? He's only ten? What use is he to you??" "I made him a deal. He swore to me that he could survive anything. If he did, then he would work for me, and if not. Well, he was dead anyway so it did not matter. I'm a man of my word. If he lives, I will find a job for him." The man walks away, followed shortly after by his cousin. The boy smiles slightly. He proved his point. He won. The pain became too much and the boy passed out, a smile still on his face. "Where's mom Henry?" Revelin asked sitting on the couch with a frown on his face. His mother and father should have been back by now. It had been eight hours and they were just going out to eat. Thunder shook the walls. "I don't know Revelin." Henry says looking out the window, "Soon... very soon." "Don't lie to him Henry" James growls, walking into the room, "I bet they're dead." James laughed. Henry turned towards James and punches him in the jaw. "Don't say that. You're parents are with them to so if mine are dead, yours are to you spoiled little brat." Henry growls at his cousin. James rubs his jaw, his eyes going dark. "I was just kidding, god Henry, learn to take a joke." James stalks out of the room still rubbing his jaw. "Henry," Revelin starts looking at his older brother, "You don't think... they aren't dead are they?" "SOMEONE CALL 911!" "Revelin, REVELIN can you hear me?" Henry's voice was faint, but there. Revelin moaned, why did it feel like he was on fire? He couldn't figure it out, but he sure as hell didn't like it. "Revelin, come on, get up." "CALL 911!!" "Is he dead?" Revelin, slowly opens his eyes looking around him. A crowd was gathering, his brother was kneeling by him. James as leaning against the wall of the building, watching Revelin with narrowed eyes. Revelin tries to ask James what Kadin said, but nothing was coming out. His body just wanted to shut down again. "James, help me, we need to get him out of here. If the cops show up they'll take us away." Henry looks over at his cousin. "They'll separate us." "I'm not worried." James says keeping his voice even. "Kadin will get us if we are." He looks at Revelin, "Congrats little cousin. Kadin was impressed; if you live he wants you to be at the base tomorrow." "He's not going," Henry snaps, growling at his cousin, "That man's evil you know it James, anyone who would let a ten year old jump off a building to prove he's "strong enough" Is a sick evil man James. We don't need him, all we need is each other James. Please... help me get him out of here." Henry looks back at Revelin, "Hold on little brother," Revelin closes his eyes, the pain starting to over power his need to stay awake, "We'll get you help" Henry's voice gets further away, "just stay with me brother." He lays his head on Revelin's chest, "I need you, don't leave like mom and dad." The cops showed up three hours later. There was a crash, their parent’s car slide on a patch of ice, it spun into traffic... there was nothing they could do. Their parents had died. They were told to pack their things and go with them to a safe place till they could figure everything out. They went upstairs to pack. "They'll separate us" Henry says, throwing a few shirts into a bag. "We'll never see each other again." "You said they weren't dead" Revelin whimpers, whipping tears from his eyes. He looks over at James, "How did you know?" Henry looks at James his hands stopping in the middle of putting a shirt in his bag. James looks at them, his eyes dark. "I didn't... at least... I don't think I did... I don't know damn it... Leave me the hell alone." James throws a pair of pants into the bag, zipping it closed. "I don't want to go with them Henry." Revelin says, hugging a teddy bear close. "Henry, let's not go ok?" Henry looks at his brother, "And do what Rev.? We've got no where else to go." Henry says, putting the shirt into the bag and zipping it. "All we need is each other." Revelin says, "We can make money, we can find a place... somewhere. Just the three of us." He looks at James, "You'll come right?" "You're nuts" James growls, throwing a pillow at Revelin, "Where the hell are we going to go? And how are we going to get out of the house without them seeing us?" Revelin points to a window, "It's not a long jump." Henry and James look at the window, then each other. "We'd have to run... They'll chase after us" Henry says softly. "They'll send people to look for us, we'll have to live on the streets... always moving" James says dropping his voice as well. "It's risky, there's a lot of bad people out there... we could run into one of them" "I know where dad keeps the knives." Henry says. He holds out his hand making a small ball of ice, "And the three of us can take care of ourselves." "And the bad people? We'll fight them all? They're bigger then us, evil, mean, will take kids like us and turn us into punching bags" James says pulling the bag over his shoulder. "And there is probably a lot more of them. They might try to trick us." "Let them come." Henry says, pulling his bag on. "Let's grab the knives and get going before someone comes up here." He looks at Revelin, "Let them come little brother." Revelin puts his hand out, making a fireball. "Let them come, we only need each other." Revelin drops the fireball, putting it out inches before it hits the ground. "Let them come" He growls, a smile on his face. Revelin was right, it wasn't a long jump. James went first landing on the ground in a crouch. He motions for Revelin to follow him down. "Go on little brother, I'll be right behind you." Henry says, patting his brother on the head. "Henry." Revelin looks at his brother, "Would mom want us to be doing this? She always said to trust the cops." "Come on little brother, this was your idea. Just jump ok?" Henry says taking the bag from his shoulder, he throws it down to James, who catches it and quietly sets it next to him. "Hurry up, " He hisses, "They're talking about us, they are going to come up soon." Revelin puts his leg outside of the window and closes his eyes dropping onto the ground. He bites his tongue to keep from making noise. He looks at James. "We'll need to work on your jumping skills." He looks up, "Hurry up Henry," Henry puts his feet over the edge of the window, "I'm com-" The door behind him opens, "What the- HEY, Get down from there!" The cop moves towards Henry, grabbing for his arm. "HEY! THEY'RE TRYING TO GET AWAY, TWO OF THEM ARE OUTSIDE!!" The cop yells, pulling Henry back into the house. "HENRY!" Revelin cries moving towards the door. James grabs him around the waist pulling him back. "No, Revelin, don't go back in there." James looks up at the window. "We can't leave Henry!" Revelin cries. The back door opens and three cops come out. "Hey you two, What do you think you're doing?" One the cops move towards Revelin. "Just come over here and we'll forget all about this happening ok?" The other cop goes towards James, putting his hand out to take his arm. James move back a step, before pulling a knife and throwing it into the cop's throat. The cop drops. The other two look at James, eyes wide. "James!" Revelin cries out, his cousin just killed a cop... a man who was trying to help them. Fight Revelin! James voice was loud in Revelin's head. Revelin had talked to his brother like that a few times, but never his cousin. It hurt Revelin's head to much to talk like that. Henry always held the link, but this was different, stronger. Revelin felt his brother fighting the cop inside as well as feeling James. James had linked them both. The cop grabs Revelin's arm, pulling him over towards him. If Henry was fighting... Revelin makes a fireball, dropping it onto the cop’s foot. The cop screams pushing Revelin forward and hitting at the fire. The other cop runs towards James, seeing him as the bigger threat. Revelin screams, throwing a fireball at the cop already on fire before dropping onto the ground. The third cop grabs James's arm, his eyes go wide in shock, than he freezes, his body turning to ice. Revelin looks over at his brother. Henry's arm was bleeding, sweat pouring down his face. He had never frozen anyone before, and doing it twice had taken a lot from him. He hurries over to Revelin, picking him up. "We have to go" He grabs a bag and walks over to James. "Hurry up." Henry says moves his hand slightly to put out the fire on the last cop. Revelin looks over at the cop as he falls to the ground, his body covered in burns. At least he was still alive. James pulls his arm free of the iced cop and picks up the bag. "The woods." He says taking off. "KEEP UP!" He yells back to Henry and Revelin. Henry puts Revelin on the ground, holding out his bag to him. "No looking back little brother." Three Years Later - Spring 1996 "Have you found him yet?” Revelin asks, looking over at his brother. “Not yet, god I wish I knew where that jerk was. I would box his damn ears in. He knows better than to stay out this late.” Henry starts to pace, “He’s probably drinking again.” Revelin nods at his brother as he sits down and munching quietly on the piece of bread they have for dinner. “When he gets back, OH is he getting a good piece of my-“ “Of your what, cousin?” James says, leaning against the door frame. Henry looks at him and snarls, “Where the hell have you been? You know what time it is? We were worried sick, thought maybe the cops picked you up.” Henry says marching over to James. Revelin swallows the last piece of bread and stands up, ignoring his still growling stomach. “We were scared, James. Why do you always have to do this?” Revelin says softly. “I was getting us a good meal.” James says, tosses a bag at Revelin’s feet. “Bon Appetite.” Henry looks over at the bag, then Revelin. Revelin drops onto his knees, and opens up the big, a smile appearing on his face. “FOOD!!” Revelin pulls out a bag of chips and rips them open, sticking scopes of them into his mouth. Henry looks back at James, “Where did you get this?” His eyes narrow a bit, “Did you steal it? James, we talked about stealing from other people.” “I didn’t steal it. A guy gave it to me, and there is more where that came from as well, coz.” James smiles, “No more living in this dump. Come on, he’s waiting for us.” Revelin smiles, and stands up, nodding his head in agreement. He picks up his bag and the bag of food and starts toward James. Henry puts his hand out, stopping Revelin. “What do we know about this guy? I mean… why is he taking us in?” Henry asks. “You’re always such a worry head,” Revelin says to his brother, “Why does it matter? He’s taking us in, giving us food.” “It could be trouble.” Henry says, eyeing James. “How long have you known him?” “Today, about… four hours,” James says grinning. “Stop worrying, damn you. He has offered us work. We work for him, he gives us money, food, and a place to stay.” “What KIND of work?” Henry asks. “Who cares?! Come on, is this really where you want your baby brother to grow up?” James asks turning to go back outside, “I’m going. If you want to come with me, hurry up, if not. Enjoy your crappy place.” James walks outside. Revelin looks at Henry, "Can we check it out? We can always say no if we don’t like him.” Revelin smiles, “At least we can get some food for awhile. Right?” Henry looks at him. Revelin puts his lip out in a puppy dog look. “Please” Henry sighs, “Fine, but if I don’t like him. We’re leaving.” Revelin hugs him, “What ever you say big brother,” Revelin runs out of the building, “JAMES, WAIT FOR US!” “So, what have you got to offer, Kadin?” Henry asks, looking the guy over. The man wasn’t very old, and he was human, which was, for some reason, not what Henry was expecting. James didn’t talk to humans often, so this man must have done something that really got his attention, but what, was the other thing. James wasn’t telling Henry anything. Kadin smiles slightly, leaning forward in his chair. “I can offer you and your cousin a place to live, food to eat, clothes on your back, and anything else you want to have. I can make sure you guys are never separated.” James nods, “Everything we want, Henry.” Henry looks at James and then looks back at the human. “And my brother?” Henry crosses his arms, “You’ll give him all those things as well?” Kadin looks at Revelin who was hiding part way behind Henry, this guy scared him, and he wasn’t sure why. "He’s of no use to me. He’s too young to work, and I don’t let kids run around my bases. The offer is for you and your cousin.” Kadin looks back at Henry. "I can work,” Revelin says, taking a step away from his brother. “I’m strong, a fighter. I can do whatever you need me to do.” Kadin looks back at Revelin, a smile playing on his lips. “I need hard workers, ones who can survive. You’re not to that age yet, boy.” “I can survive.” Revelin nods his head, “I can. I can survive anything.” “Anything?” Kadin leans forward more, “Are you sure?” “I swear it.” Revelin states. They needed this. They needed a place to live, a home to live in, food to eat. "Revelin,” Henry starts, taking his brother’s arm, “Let’s go,” “Prove to me, boy, you can survive anything, and you can work for me.” Kadin says standing. Revelin nods at him, “I can. I can survive anything, and I’ll prove it.” Revelin pulls his arm away from Henry’s grasp. “How?” Kadin asks walking over to Revelin and smiling slightly, “How will you prove it?” Revelin looks around the room. He wasn’t sure how he was going to prove it, just that he had to some way. His eyes travel to the window and he looks outside. They were in a low building, the ground floor of one of the many high buildings in the city. The one across the street was high, probably six, seven stories high. Revelin looks back at Kadin. He motions to the building across the street. “I’ll jump.” Kadin looks at the building, then back at Revelin, “From the top?” He tilts his head slightly, interested in this. “Yes, if I live, we all work for you, if not… I’m dead anyway, and you can still take Henry and James.” “Revelin!” Henry snaps, grabbing his brother’s arm, “There is no way in hell he’s going to let you do th-“ “Deal,” Kadin says, walking to the door, “Let’s go." "He's hot, James, His clothes are smoking and I can't touch him without getting burnt. What do we do?" Henry asks, looking over at his cousin. "The ambulance will be here any minute, what the hell do we tell them?" "That my cousin and your brother, was stupid enough to jump off a building." James says. "We have to cool him down somehow." Henry looks back at Revelin, "Come on brother, talk to me." Henry moves his hand placing it gently on Revelin's arm. He hisses in pain, as his hand starts to burn. "What are you doing?" James asks, standing fully. Henry closes his eyes and slowly sends ice through his brother's veins. "HENRY!" James snaps, looking around, "What the hell are you doing? Are you nuts?! You can kill him, not only that, but people are watching!" HUMANS, James, humans who have no idea what we are and who are going to see you FREEZE YOUR GOD DAMN BROTHER TO DEATH!. He won't freeze to death. I hope... I'm just trying to cool him off. "I need to make sure he can breath." Henry says out loud, biting back pain as he says it. The ice travels through Revelin's body, cooling it a few degrees. Henry prayed he would be able to pull it back when his brother's body cooled off. Revelin coughs, his eyes snapping open. Henry drops his hands, quickly pulling the ice from his body. "Revelin!" Henry throws his arms around him, "Oh god brother, are you ok?!" Revelin looks around a bit, "My head hurts... and I can't feel my arm." Henry moves back to look at Revelin. "It's ok, the ambulance is on the way." Henry drops his head, looking at his burnt hand, "I'm sorry, baby brother, if we can't stay together after this." Revelin lightly puts his hand on his brother's arm, "We'll always be together." Three Months Later "Congratulation, boys." Kadin smiles at them, "You the most Revelin, I didn't think you had it in you." "Thank you, sir." Revelin says, standing with his arms behind his back and facing Kadin. Just like his brother and cousin next to him where doing. It's how Kadin taught them to stand. "You three, I can tell, will make a great add to my team. I'm sure each of you, will cause no problems. You've been trained, you know the rules." Kadin paces in front of them. "Yes, sir" The three of them reply in unison. Kadin smiles, "I would give the three of you your own place. But, since Revelin is only ten. He can live with you, Henry. Once he's sixteen, I'll get him his own place. I expect you to take care of him, Henry." "Yes, sir" Henry says. Kadin nods and turns away from them. "Now, your first assignment." Kadin says, picking up a file on the table. Henry looks at Revelin and smiles, We'll do this for awhile, a year, tops. Till we have money of our own. Then we'll buy a BIG house, with a pool. Just the two of us. And everything will be alright. Three Years Later - 1999 The night was cold. It was almost winter once more. Revelin paced the small park a second time, waiting for his brother and cousin to show up. They were to meet him there at eight. It was now nine, and there was still no sign of them. If they didn't show up soon Kadin was sure to call and yell at Revelin. By nine-thirty Revelin himself was scared. It wasn't like them not to show up, and it wasn't like them not to call if they were going to be late. Revelin decided to go check it out. He took off running toward the main part of town. Henry and James were stealing items from a near by base. If they weren't at the park, they may have ran into trouble there. Revelin searched the area, looking all around. There was no sign of his brothers, and no sign of blood. So they weren't hurt. And they weren't there. Revelin takes off toward Kadin's base. Maybe they stopped there before picking him up. Maybe they got done early and were going to just pick up Revelin and go home. Revelin ran as fast as he could toward the base. "Yes, I understand. It has been taken care of though, I assure you." Kadin says, motioning to one of the workers to grab the body by the door. "I know what they did, sir. They've been punished for it." Kadin steps in front of the worker and shakes his head, covering the phone with his hand. "Put it out back, I want it to look like they were attacked on the way here, we can still use their brother." The worker nods, and Kadin uncovers the phone. "No, sir. I understand you are not happy. I will make sure that your money is returned to you, and you have a new worker there by the end of the weekend." Kadin moves into the office, wiping the blood from his jacket. He sits down at the desk. "No, sir, now of this will be blamed on you." Kadin smiles, dropping the dirty cloth into the basket. "I'm sure. This was not an attempt on your life, sir. I value your partnership and would want nothing to mes-" He pauses hearing footsteps coming toward the door, he looks at the screen on his desk. "I'll call you back." Kadin hangs up the phone, just as the door bursts open. "Kadin," Revelin pants, trying to catch his breath, "Is my brother here?!" Kadin stands quickly, moving over to Revelin, "Oh, there you are!" Kadin stops a few feet from him, "We've been looking all over for you. There was an accident... Your brother and cousin were on the way over and... well... they were attacked." Revelin's eyes go wide, "No... this.." He moves back a few steps, "this can't be..." Revelin turns and takes off toward the back of the building. Kadin smiles, and follows him slowly. Revelin runs out the back door and stops, his eyes going wider. His brother and cousin lay in a pool of blood on the ground, neither moving. Revelin runs over to his brother and drops onto his knees, not caring that he was kneeling in blood. He drops his head onto his brother's shoulder. "No!" Revelin cries, sobbing into the shirt, "NO! Wake up, Henry." Revelin shakes his brother's lifeless body, "GET UP!!" Revelin cries, dropping his head onto his chest, "Please, brother" Revelin's voice grows soft, as he pleads at his brother to move. "Don't leave me brother. I have no one left... please, brother. You can't leave. Who will I have to protect me?" "You'll have me, Revelin" Kadin says, stopping behind Revelin, "Always me." Revelin looks at him. "We'll find the people who did this?" Revelin's voice is cold. Kadin nods, "Of course. We'll find them, and kill them." Revelin lays his head back on his brother, "They'll pay. Who ever did this to you. They will pay." Kadin smiles, an evil smile, and turns, walking back into the base. Author’s Note: This shows the more evil side of Kadin. Revelin works for Kadin and his goal now is to find the people who killed his brother and cousin. © 2008 Nevah AnnAuthor's Note
