Strength

Strength

A Poem by Nevaeh Flight

Staying strong is the key right.?
but how can I be
when the people I love most
I lash out at
~
How can i remain strong
when im crumbling inside
~
How can I keep my f*****g head held high
when I have nothing to keep held high for
~
Strength was never what kept my drive to live
it never influenced me to keep going
~
Surviving, pure instinct to fight
To prove the b******s that swore to me
that I would be nothing
I wouldnt make anything of myself
~
Life is a lie
its like a twisted version
of King and Queen
turning on one another
~
Stand tall
or perish
with the weak
~
Or stand tall
successful
and out right
f*****g miserable
~
Or becomes a slave driver
but every life comes to an end
where we go
I wouldnt know
~
But sometimes
I feel like im dead
~
Hell is the place we live in
everythings so wrong
and nobody wants to fix it
~
And those who do
get kicked out on their a*s's
~
They tell us to stay positive
but what for
the U.S
is a sick
sick
sick
depressed s**t hole
~
What do I have to look forward to
high school diplomas arent even
what they use to be
~
You have to be some f*****g genius
to get a good job
~
College s**t is what matters most in the real world
waist my time
striving to die
~
Looking for a good job
that just might kill me
~
And watch the poor people around me
literally take their last breaths
~
And theres nothing I can even do
we are a sick race
that needs a wake up call
~
