Bittersweet LoveA Poem by Neva
Your love was like a drug to me;
A sweet poison, filling my mind Addiction; soon to be needing you Soon to have no other light than you And before I knew it You were everything... I gave myself to you Your love would heal me But the pain... You could tear me apart So bittersweet... Such a bittersweet love Without you, I am now nothing You never saw those sides of me That I wanted you to see the most You only saw the weakest sides If just we would have had more time I could have been saved But I wasn't ment to be I gave myself to you Your love would heal me But the pain... You could tear me apart So bittersweet... Such a bittersweet love You would truly have made me shine Your love, happiness, our strength But I am weak; damaged, broken There cannot be a me without you I don't know if you knew how much That I loved you More than anything But I still smile when I think of you You will still make me smile, even in death I love you so much, but the pain is so twisted I want to die, with your whisper in my ears Before slipping away, my last thoughts of you The greatest thing that ever happened to me Was you... © 2012 NevaAuthor's Note
