Standing In The Cold

Standing In The Cold

A Poem by Neva

Standing in the cold
waiting for you
Snow falling down from the sky
falling, flying, going by
Everythings changing to white
And im still waiting for you

I cant stay here forever
come to me, stay with me
Dont ever leave me again
Or i'll stay right here
waiting for you

I can feel my skin getting colder
But i dont mind; im still alive
Pain reminds me of who i am
Who ive been and who im gonna be
Its not gonna change, never ever

I cant stay here forever
come to me, stay with me
Dont ever leave me again
Or i'll stay right here
waiting for you

My lonely heart, my broken hope
But still i'll stay here
waiting for you
Even in my death
I'll be there
Waiting... For you.

Author's Note

Neva
This is another old one.
From the days I could still feel the thing called 'love'.
I've felt numb for 1½ year now, so its older than that... Today i can only relate to the pain from that poem.

Opinions?
Does the poem invoke some emotion in you? Which? Can you relate to it?

There is something about the devotion of a young woman that breaks all the barriers, you know, it's never quite like that again.

All that hope, better be stored up, for something called love, the next time around. I really liked this.
