A VoiceA Poem by NeurosisWith a voice that would bring the sweet moisture of rain To a barren dry desert land And a mind that would allow me To pull my body from underneath this thin layer of sand There's nothing in sight, nothing for miles, just the horizon where the sky and ground meet I move in no particular direction, feeling the smoldering sensation beneath my feet Nothing pushing me on, but the burning passion in my head For a life of stillness is what I dread Can't stop now, I'm so close and I stumble once more upon this stubborn arkose My vision starts to blur, you're all I can hear I fall forward and everything disappears
