Conscious Solace

Conscious Solace

A Poem by Neurosis

Conscious solace
You’re my only friend
Calming other half of me
You’re the only lover I’ll ever need

Your impossible indifference
It’s really my indifference
A conscious torn in two
Forced to leave
Cause the other may too

Control freak
You’re such a control freak
You only left so you’d feel no pain

Incapable
You’re so incapable
Of love
Cause she never went away
