The Way I Am

The greatest joy when can have is to liked for person they are...just the way they are.

I may have finally found

The guy who really is different

And likes me just the way I am.

 

The guy who knows

Having fun doesn’t mean being drunk

And lets me drink at my own pace.

 

The guy who doesn’t mind

If I just want to stay in

Even on a Saturday night.

 

The guy who understands

What it means to get lost

In a good book you can’t put down.

 

The guy who encourages

My creative skills and interests

And wants to share them with me.

 

The guy who likes me

For more than what you see

For what’s inside me too.

 

The guy who doesn’t want

Another dumb girl

But one that thinks for herself.

 

The guy who wants the girl

That will still do her own thing

And yet share a life with him.

 

Are you that guy

The one whose different

The one who’ll get me?
