In Writing

I may not always,

Say the right thing.

Often times it seems,

I can’t find the right words.

 

But I know how,

You make me feel.

And I want to tell you,

But I’m not sure how.

 

I think of you,

With every happy song I hear.

I change the words while I sing-along,

To make it for you and us.

 

I write all day,

Poem after poem.

Each to you,

Telling you how I feel.

 

So I may not say the right things,

Words may leave me when I need them.

But don’t think there’s nothing up there,

Cause it’s all in writing.
