Under the smile

Are words

You’ll never hear

 

The hardest part

Is behind those tears

And under the words

Are uplifted eyes

And the truest, brightest smile

 

But you can’t

See the good

Till you understand

The hurt

:: i have wished and ached for people to be perceptive... it's so tough to wait patiently for them to notice nuances... what a comfort it is to be known and understood... and how tough it is to remain a mystery...
