Goob-bye and boxesA Poem by Sunset GirlI said good-bye So long ago Walked away Never looked back Never regretted it So why Is saying Good-bye now So hard So different It’s still not forever At least not yet But it’s feeling More and more Like forever With every box One more packed Little less left Closing each one Gets harder Thru all the changes Ups and downs Rights and wrongs This never changed It was always waiting It’s never easy To say good-bye To the stayble In this changing world We don’t want to A floor covered in boxes A bed covered with things Empty walls Empty drawers Feels like I am too Things have no home Feel I don’t either But one door closing Means one opening Somewhere
