A Father's TearA Poem by Sunset GirlA place so dark Sun is locked out A place so big Time seems to stand still A place so full of emotion One can’t predict the outcome A place of sorrow To grieve in fullness Where tears and words come From the lease expected places Where feelings run deeper Than one ever thought In this place Lives can be changed People united In unlikely ways The truth known Without any words
Where little girls See their daddy’s cry And mother’s arms Say you can too Where years of pain Hatred and fights Are carried away With a seemingly long walk Holding a perfectly folded flag That will forever remain Close to the hearts Of all those gathered And a link of love Between a father and son Placed now in the home With honor and pride For all to see The know the love That was never shown © 2012 Sunset GirlAuthor's Note

My poems are mostly about life, love and relationships. I started writing more when I thought people just wouldn't understand me.. more..Writing
