Miss You Not Us

Miss You Not Us

A Poem by Sunset Girl

It’s been hard

Without you

Today I missed you

More than normal

But I didn’t miss “us”

I only missed “you”

Having you there

Being myself

Our conversations

The openness

When I’m with you

The problems of life

Seem smaller

Less burdensome

When you hug me

It’s so deep

I feel your care

I feel your support

I miss that now

I miss the person

That stands beside me

That supports me

It’s been hard

I miss you

I miss me

I miss what you give me

Sunset Girl
It's been said that a good relationship is one where you can truly be yourself with the other person and they make you a better person, more true to yourself. When I find that person, it changed me in so many right ways. But that relationship is long-distance which takes on even more.

. you sing a very soulful heartsong ... the pain of a long-distance relationship and yet the resilience it gives you expresses itself really well in your words ... your poetic voice sounds beautiful and authentic ... i'm glad that love is making you blossom so beautifully ... this is true magic ... i have known it and i know how much you must cherish it ...

About
Writing can help one express what they can't seem to explain verbally. My poems are mostly about life, love and relationships. I started writing more when I thought people just wouldn't understand me.. more..
