Lichborne

Lichborne

A Poem by Jake Weller
"

Death, Transcention, Undeath.

"

The moon melds into the clouded night; its form of liquid silver

The illumination casts shadows lining the forest grove

Lying in a clearing surrounded by idle sentinels

Contemplation of eternity wrought loneliness unsurpassable

Eyes darken to black

His pale form slowly rises

Solemn winds animate the slender blades of grass caressing his skin

Icy breath escapes blue lips

The completion of undeath

Transcention into the nether planes

A world of secret

Enshrouded in a void that wards off the undeserving

Few dare to enter the blind darkness unsure of their fate

A choice that prompted no hesitation

Time now is the only enemy

A realm of ultimate separation

But still the torment shall not last

His body siphons the ether

Imbuing within the energy long sought

And the day will come to make his projection

Through the astral planes

He has broken the laws and has no ruler

The becomming of a God
