Which path?

A simple girl, on a path. 
The road forks right or left. 
To the right: social acceptance. 
To the left: self acceptance. 
She stares and finally starts walking. 
She goes to the right
And walks off of a cliff
Landing in a bed of roses. 
The thorns tear her apart. 
But the sweet aroma forces her to give up
Let the brambles shred her
Until there is nothing left.
