Death in His Own Form

Death in His Own Form

A Poem by Essy
"

Just a poem i wrote

"

Sometimes at night

Death

lays beside me

as I try to fall asleep

Making me dream

about horrible things

Sometimes I welcome him

when life is not going right

Other times I push him away

Screaming

Yelling

Wanting to know everything will be ok

Sometimes I accept him

Though he may mangle and strangle

give hope

then take it all away

He also brings forth

new life

This is a good thought poem. A notion. Death does invite itself, whether you call him or not. I'm not sure about the bringing forth new life part... This poem is compact, clear and evolves. I'd call it a success.

Es, grammatical errors are OK in poetry, y'know. There are no rules in poetry.

Anyways, this has a great title, which lures me in. This is a very good poem, and the form is excellent.
