Where I'm From

A short narrative poem for my english class that doesnt really say where im from but asks What made you what or who you are?

Where am I from?

 

I am from the youth, when rebellion was cool.

I am from hair-dying experiments

Resulting in pink, purple, or blue.

 

I am from the music that lets my heart bleed out,

Mosh-pits, crowd surfing, and a voice gone without doubt.

 

I am from vacations along the California coast

Full of more music and the waves, these times I miss the most.

 

I am from tattoos, writing, and art.

Each one an outlet of therapy to help soothe my heavy heart.

 

I am from a family of independents and strong minds,

Passing lessons to their children to always be kind.

 

I am from deep waters, the Pisces fish is my sign.

The dreamer of the zodiac, I'm always stuck inside my mind.

 

From my eyes where imperfections are beautiful and true

To my mind where knowledge is always pursued.

 

I am from the stars that shine from up above,

I am from my heart pumping full of emotion and love.
