Everyone's Hiding Something

Everyone's Hiding Something

A Poem by vampiryss_renee

Everyone's hiding something

a crush, a lover

Everyone's hiding something

a kiss shared with a friend's man

sitting in the back of old blue van

Everyone's hiding something

a scream in the night

rape, she puts up a good fight

Everyone's hiding something

pain, fear, the urge to scream

sexy dreams, nightmares, day dreams

Everyone's hiding something

a stolen trinket, an old toy

perhaps love letters from a strange boy

Everyone's hiding something

a same sex encounter

late night banter, a small fling

Everyone's hiding something

murder, thoughts of suicide

cutting as the lights dim out

So tell us, what are you hiding?

This is better than "Broken". I like how you ended with a thought provoking question, that brings guilt upon the reader. The repitition of "Everyone's hiding something", kept the poem going. Hope this critique helps you with your writing. Happy writing =)
