Together In The EndA Poem by 0tulissaI wrote this last year for a Holocaust project. We were cherished, loved, normal. We were ripped from our own lives.Shoved into trains like cattle and feed, Knowing that answers were all that we need. At the camp, we were separated from our family, But we were all together in the end. Given only one meal a day, Consisting of meager sawdust and water. I longed for Mother and Father, As I lay on the ground listening to my own stomach. But we were all together in the end. My brother worked to death. My sister raped and killed. My father shot down in cold blood. And my mother and I, gassed and burned. We were all together in the end. © 2010 0tulissaAuthor's Note
